Check your numbers if you bought a lottery ticket in Mississauga, Ont., this week.

A winning Lotto 649 ticket was sold at an outlet in the city west of Toronto.

The winning ticket is worth $64 million, setting a new record for the largest single Canadian lottery prize, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) said in a statement on Sunday.

The previous record was set last month, when a was purchased in Brampton, Ont., approximately 20 kilometres northwest of Mississauga. 

A group of 12 colleagues from Markham, Ont., split the prize, receiving $5 million each.

It is not yet known whether the $64 million ticket belongs to an individual or a group.

In addition to the giant jackpot, six other Ontario residents will be hauling in tens of thousands of dollars each thanks to Saturday’s draw.

Four secondary winning tickets worth $116,915.80 each were sold in Ontario, OLG said. Two of the tickets were sold in Toronto while the others were sold in Kitchener and the Barrie area.

Two Encore tickets, each worth $100,000, were sold in Hamilton and the Peterborough area.
