DAVOS - Prime Minister Justin Trudeau continues his re-branding of Canada's economy today with three marquee events and several high level meetings.

But it remains unclear why a session called "A New Beginning for Canada," and a luncheon called "A New Chapter for Canada" are both closed to the media.

Trudeau will also join a panel focused on gender parity alongside billionaire philanthropist Melinda Gates and Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg. It is an interesting topic at a .

Meanwhile, Trudeau is continuing with his attempts to give Canada a fresh image at the World Economic Forum: focusing less on resources and oil, and more on diversity and technology.

It's a message that is being warmly received by many here, but has angered some politicians and energy groups in recession-hit Western Canada.â€
