Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are buying a house in Costa Rica.

The Hollywood couple -- who have children Maddox, 10, Pax, eight, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne together -- are planning to spend the festive season in the Central American country but could return more often.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Brad has found a sprawling farm that he reckons will be the perfect place for the family to get away from everything for a while.

"He loves the country and is considering buying some Costa Rican property so they can spend some time there when life gets less hectic for them."

Meanwhile, Angelina has admitted she is planning to take a step back from her Hollywood career in a couple of years to help focus on raising her children through their difficult teen years, as she doesn't want them to struggle in the way that she did when she was younger.

She said: "My kids will be needing me a lot when they hit their teens. If I know anything about being a teenager, I need to be braced to be spending a lot of time with all six of them and making sure I can be there for when they go through everything.

"So I'm sure I'll be working from home in some way. Maybe I'll get to write or something."
