Billy Talent and Nickelback lead this year's nominees for the MuchMusic video music awards.
The Canadian rockers scored five nominations each for the annual awards gala, a live televised event known for its off-the-wall guests and celebrity stunts.
Belly and k-os snagged four nominations each, and buzz bands Alexisonfire, Feist, finger eleven, and Tokyo Police Club are also up for honours.
The festival-style show takes place June 17 and is set to feature a red carpet parade and live performances in the heart of downtown Toronto.
