Aston Martin has taken the wraps off its new DB11, the newest GT in their DB line of cars, at the 2016 auto show in Geneva.

The DB11 heralds “a new design era” for Aston Martin, and comes replete with a host new stylistic signatures, including a clamshell hood; a new take on the iconic Aston Martin grille with “accentuated” lines; flowing roof strakes; and sculpted taillights.

Also all-new is the powerplant underhood, a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 that, at 600 horsepower and 516 lbs-ft of torque, which makes this the most powerful ‘DB’ yet. Thanks to the twelve, 100 km/h shows up just 3.9 seconds after launch from a standstill; and top speed is 320 km/h (200 mph).

Aston Martin also poured resources into engineering new drivetrain and suspension componentry for the DB11; the V12 is mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission, and electric power steering and torque vectoring come standard.

Inside, the DB11 comes fitted with two touchscreens, which can be used to display a 360-degree bird’s-eye-view of the car and assist in automatic parking. Materials and colouring in the interior are nearly limitless in selection, allowing for bespoke combinations, Aston Martin says.

The first DB11 cars should be delivered in late 2016; prices start at roughly $212,000 US, or $284,000 Canadian.
