Astronauts head out for final shuttle mission spacewalk

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - Discovery's astronauts are making one final spacewalk at the International Space Station.

It's the last spacewalk of the shuttle mission and the final one involving Discovery. The shuttle will be retired after this flight.

Stephen Bowen and Alvin Drew floated out Wednesday morning. They will vent ammonia out of a broken pump they relocated during Monday's spacewalk. They also will install a camera, light and equipment covers, and remove some insulation.

A leak in Bowen's suit had to be fixed before they could venture out.

Overseeing the action from Mission Control is astronaut Timothy Kopra. He was supposed to be the lead spacewalker, but was hurt in a bicycle accident last month. Bowen replaced him.
