CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - Astronaut Scott Kelly is back home, after a five-month space station mission.

Kelly hurried back to Houston on Thursday, just a day after landing in Kazakhstan aboard a Russian capsule. He was immediately reunited with his identical twin brother, Mark, who's married to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

Giffords is recuperating in Houston from a gunshot wound to the head. She was shot in January while meeting with constituents in Tucson, Ariz.

Scott Kelly says he called his brother as much as possible from the International Space Station. But he says satellite coverage for phone calls was sporadic. That's why he couldn't wait to be reunited face to face.

Mark Kelly is the commander of NASA's next shuttle flight.
